It was the second-to-last day of my NYFW trip, and I'd already seen such a wide variety of designs. Going into Louis Verdad's runway show, I wasn't sure what to expect. It turned out to be one of my favorite shows!

The Ghostship fire in Oakland hit really deep. These are my people - artists who live, breathe, and make art in a space that allows them to be themselves, to be truly free. Our culture doesn't really support artists. Most spaces don't allow artists to thrive, so the few that do are so important for our community. A few weeks ago, an amazing thing happened.

My favorite boba shop (Boba Guys, holla!) was on its last day of 12 Days of Christmas, where they hide a gift card in a different location every day for fans to hunt. I'd tried to pick one up earlier in the week, but missed it literally by seconds (I watched someone walk out with it right as I pulled up), and didn't think I'd have another chance. So there I was, 7:30am and getting ready for work, when I checked their Instagram and lo and behold, the final card was waiting at the top of Twin Peaks. I thought for a moment whether I was being responsible, but decided I should choose life (who ever regrets not working enough, anyway?) and jetted out the door and pulled up... just to see another girl was already talking to Bin (one of the founders). Defeated, I started to pull away, but decided to take a chance and ask, just to make sure. ...
