Boba baes for life
A few weeks ago, an amazing thing happened.
My favorite boba shop (Boba Guys, holla!) was on its last day of 12 Days of Christmas, where they hide a gift card in a different location every day for fans to hunt. I'd tried to pick one up earlier in the week, but missed it literally by seconds (I watched someone walk out with it right as I pulled up), and didn't think I'd have another chance. So there I was, 7:30am and getting ready for work, when I checked their Instagram and lo and behold, the final card was waiting at the top of Twin Peaks. I thought for a moment whether I was being responsible, but decided I should choose life (who ever regrets not working enough, anyway?) and jetted out the door and pulled up... just to see another girl was already talking to Bin (one of the founders). Defeated, I started to pull away, but decided to take a chance and ask, just to make sure.
The card was already claimed, but THERE WAS A SECOND CARD. The girl and I both rejoiced, thanked Bin, took some photos of the SF view and ourselves, and went our separate ways. Only after posting a thank you to Boba Guys on Instagram did I think to look up the other girl's feed. Um... she's a fashion blogger!!! I've been wanting to break into the fashion blogger community like woah. I was super excited, but doubted myself, only to see that she was equally excited to work with me! So we set up some time to shoot together.
I already knew she was awesome, but an hour into shooting it was clear that we were quickly becoming good friends. Not only is Tamryn superbly talented, beautiful, a fashion genius, and just as obsessed about Boba Guys as I am, she's also genuinely one of the sweetest people I've ever met, and we have a ton in common.
I'm so grateful to have girlbosses like her in my life, and can't wait to see what 2017 brings with all this girlpower around! As our favorite Boba Guys say - "Teamwork makes the dream work."
