City Guide: Portland
Portland has always been one of my favorite cities: it's incredibly clean and green, it's foodie heaven, and everyone there is super weird. What's not to love!
Where to eat in San Francisco if you're vegan + gluten-free
Ya'll know I've been gluten-free for years, but recently I added vegan to my dietary choices. I don't know if you've noticed, but it's actually not that easy to find restaurants that are both gf AND vegan - seems like most places offer one or the other. So here's a little guide of my favorite restaurants to grab gf/vegan healthy fresh meals in San Francisco.
Eat Drink SF: Taco Knockdown
Last Thursday we spent the evening tasting special taco creations from 11 different local restaurants, and it was delicious! Many of the restaurants that participated don't have tacos on their actual menus, so it was amazing to see the recipes that the chefs came up with.
Hawai'i: Hawaiian Crown (eats)
I randomly found this place on Yelp when we were searching for acai bowls in Hilo - it's a nondescript storefront that doesn't look open, so we definitely wouldn't have found this if we weren't searching specifically for it.
Hawai'i: Golden Goat (eats)
We didn't find this amazing hole-in-the-wall cafe until the end of the trip, but it turned out to be one of our faves! They have a tiny menu - acai bowls, smoothies, beef or pork lunch bowls, and tacos - but the food is so delicious that it doesn't get old.
My guide to Palm Springs (Part 1): Where to eat
Last week, my hubs and I went to Palm Springs for the first time to celebrate our 1 year wedding anniversary. It was honestly our best vacation ever! I've heard so many great things about Palm Springs, and yet it was still even better than I imagined it.
