Motorcycle protest in support of BLM
Last weekend my friend Ash and I organized a peaceful protest for the motorcycle community of Los Angeles in support of the Black Lives Matter movement. We didn’t know what to expect, or how many people would even show up, but I made a flyer and we spread the word as much as we could.
My first year at Napa Valley Film Fest
Little-known fact about me: I'm not a huge fan of fiction in movies and books. Nor do I drink alcohol. So, Julia, why did you want to go to the Napa Valley Film Fest, you ask? Because: nature, gorgeous venues, documentaries, food presentations, and celebs ... duh.
Museum of Ice Cream, SF
Ya'll must know by now how much I love interactive art, so of course as soon as I heard that the Museum of Ice Cream was coming to SF, I knew I had to go there (duh!). MOIC LA didn't disappoint, and I had a feeling SF would be even better. And ... I was right! Here's a little peek into the experience.
Museum of Ice Cream, LA
The second I heard about the Museum of Ice Cream opening in L.A., I knew I had to roadtrip down there to visit! This was before MOIC announced that it was coming to San Francisco, but honestly, no regrets! I'll happily go to both.
Create & Cultivate, Seattle: A conference for women, by women
Over the weekend, I went to a conference for female creative entrepreneurs called Create & Cultivate. There were bossladies everywhere, and nonstop gorgeous interactive booths by amazing brands. I went with my friend and fellow blogger Sam Song Seeking.
Eat Drink SF: Taco Knockdown
Last Thursday we spent the evening tasting special taco creations from 11 different local restaurants, and it was delicious! Many of the restaurants that participated don't have tacos on their actual menus, so it was amazing to see the recipes that the chefs came up with.
Color Factory: An interactive art exhibit in SF
One of my favorite things in the world are interactive art exhibits, so when Color Factory opened up in SF, of course I had to go. As a former Burning-Man-attendee and a lifelong believer in fun and imagination, I find it to be the most amazing experience to step into someone else's creative landscape (how do people come up with this stuff?!).
