Easy smoothie bowl recipe
I’ve been a huge fan of smoothie bowls ever since they became a thing (how did we ever live without them?!). But I’ve noticed that oftentimes, acai bowl bases in cafes are mixed with apple juice and other super sweet juices that I normally wouldn’t drink (plus they cost a fortune!). This is why I began making bowls at home, and developed a recipe that is healthy (hello, protein and collagen!), yummy and super easy.
I usually have this bowl for breakfast or lunch, and it’s the perfect delicious way to get nutrients. You can obviously spruce up the recipe however you’d like, and switch out other nut milks, other toppings, really make it your own!
Ingredients
For smoothie:
1 banana
1 cup frozen mixed berries
1 cup frozen mango cubes
1 cup kale (or spinach)
1 cup almond milk
1 serving protein powder of choice (I use LIVfit Superfood Organic Plant Protein)
1 serving collagen of choice (I use Vital Proteins Collagen Peptides)
For toppings:
1 banana
3 fresh strawberries (or berries of choice)
1-2 tbsp creamy almond or peanut butter
1 tsp bee pollen
Directions
In a blender, blend together all smoothie ingredients and pour the mixture into a cute bowl.
Cut up the second banana and strawberries and place on top of the smoothie mixture (or other berries of your choice).
Sprinkle the bee pollen on top of everything, and then drizzle 1-2 tablespoons of the nut butter all over everything in the bowl (depending on how much you want to eat).
Enjoy!!
If you make this, tag me in your IG post or story!! I’d love to see your creations.
